Cookie Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 | Last Updated: 2026-10-15
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and enable certain features.
Our Cookie Philosophy
Inside the client portal and on the login pages we use only essential cookies required to operate the Service. There we do not use:
- Advertising cookies
- Third-party tracking cookies
- Social media cookies
- Analytics cookies that track individual users
The public report and demo pages (web addresses that start with /lead) are different. They also use a page-testing cookie and the Meta advertising pixel. See "Public Report and Demo Pages" below.
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies (Always Active)
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
hub_session | Maintains your login session | Session / 30 days | Animas Marketing |
hub_csrf | Prevents cross-site request forgery | Session | Animas Marketing |
hub_consent | Remembers your cookie preferences | 1 year | Animas Marketing |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare bot management | 30 minutes | Cloudflare |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare security challenge | 30 minutes | Cloudflare |
How Essential Cookies Work
Public Report and Demo Pages
The free visibility reports and product demo pages at /lead do not require a login. On those pages only, we use these cookies in addition to Cloudflare's security cookies:
| Cookie Name | Category | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
lead_consent | Essential | Remembers that you have seen the cookie notice | 1 year | Animas Marketing |
lead_arms | Page testing | Remembers which version of a report page you saw, so we can tell which layout works better. It holds a random code, not your name or email. | 180 days | Animas Marketing |
_fbp, _fbc | Advertising | The Meta pixel. It tells Meta which of our Facebook and Instagram ads led you to a page, and lets us show you our ads again later. | Up to 90 days | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) |
The Meta pixel shares what you do on these pages with Meta under Meta's Privacy Policy. You can stop it by blocking the cookies in your browser (see below) or by changing your ad preferences in your Facebook account. Questions: privacy@animasmarketing.com.
What We Don't Use
| Cookie Type | Used? | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | No | We don't track individual users |
| Facebook Pixel | Public /lead pages only | Never inside the logged-in client portal. See "Public Report and Demo Pages" above. |
| LinkedIn Insight | No | We don't use advertising |
| Hotjar/FullStory | No | We don't record sessions |
Third-Party Services
Inside the client portal, the only third party that may set cookies is Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider. (On the public /lead pages, Meta also sets the pixel cookies described above.) Cloudflare cookies are:
- Used only for security purposes (bot protection, DDoS mitigation)
- Not used for tracking or advertising
- Governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy
Managing Cookies
Browser Settings
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
| Browser | Instructions |
|---|---|
| Chrome | Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies |
| Firefox | Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies |
| Safari | Preferences > Privacy > Cookies |
| Edge | Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies |
Important Note
If you disable essential cookies, the Service may not function properly. Specifically:
- You will not be able to stay logged in
- Form submissions may fail due to CSRF protection
- You may encounter repeated security challenges
Cookie Consent
Inside the client portal we use only essential cookies, so consent is not legally required under GDPR (Article 6(1)(f) - legitimate interest) or ePrivacy Directive (strictly necessary exemption).
On the public /lead pages the notice also tells you about the page-testing and Meta advertising cookies, and you can block them as described above.
We display a cookie notice to:
- Inform you about the cookies we use
- Provide transparency about our data practices
- Allow you to understand what's stored on your device
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. Inside the client portal we don't track users for advertising purposes, so DNT changes nothing there. We do not currently change the behavior of the Meta pixel on public /lead pages in response to DNT signals; use the browser and Facebook settings described above to opt out.
Summary
| Category | Count | Consent Required |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | 6 | No (strictly necessary) |
| Page testing (public /lead pages only) | 1 | Disclosed in the cookie notice |
| Advertising (public /lead pages only) | 2 | Disclosed in the cookie notice; you can block it |
| Total | 9 | - |
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies. Material changes will be communicated via updated "Last Updated" date and notice in the Service for significant changes.
